Police have released photos of a man with a distinctive tattoo whom they would like to talk to following a theft in which expensive Pokémon cards were taken.

Officers say a man, wearing a mask and hooded top, entered Chaos Cards at Sandgate Road, Folkestone at around 1:50 p.m. on Tuesday, July 20 and approached the cash register.

He asked for a box of Pokemon Darkness Ablaze cards and when told the price, he allegedly showed the store staff a knife and told them to put the cards and cash from the cashier into a bag.

He then left the scene.

Pokémon cards sell for around £ 90 to £ 100.

Will Robinson, who works as a supervisor in the store, says he was “a bit shaken up” as a result of the experience.

He said, “He had just had lunch and it was pretty quiet. A man walked over to the cash register and asked about the Pokemon cards. He then pulled out a knife.

“I wasn’t going to argue with him.

The man reportedly got around £ 100 from the cash register, plus a box of Pokémon cards.

Police are now appealing for help with the investigation.

As such, they have posted photos of a man they would like to talk to, including a photo of a distinctive tattoo on his hand.

It is believed that he may have information that could help their investigations.
