DOVER, Del.- The Dover Police Department is investigating a carjacking that occurred in the parking lot of One Stop early Saturday morning.

The victim contacted police after the carjacking, where he told officers he pulled into the One Stop car park around 1.20am.

The victim said he was approached by a black woman with ponytails, who asked for a “light” on his cigarette. While talking to the woman, the victim was approached by two black men, one of whom was armed with a handgun.

The victim handed over an undisclosed sum of money to the suspects, at which point they demanded that he give them his vehicle.

The victim exited the vehicle and complied with the request. The suspect with the handgun then entered the vehicle and fled, while the other suspect fled on foot north.

The stolen vehicle is a silver 2004 Chevrolet Suburban with Delaware tag: PC168878.

According to police, the victim described the carjackers as a black man wearing a black face mask and black coat with silver stripes and a black man wearing a black face mask, black sweatshirt and black pants.
