DOVER-FOXCROFT — The Maine Educational Opportunity Center will host free one-on-one sessions, Essentials of College Planning for adults 19 and older who are looking for a new career or returning to higher education.

Virtual sessions will take place on Monday, October 24 at 9 a.m. and 11 a.m. and 12 p.m., 1 p.m. and 2 p.m. (financial aid 9 a.m. and 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. with a drop-in at 2 p.m.); Wednesday, Oct. 26 at 9:30 a.m. and 12 p.m., 1 p.m. and 2 p.m. (financial assistance 12 p.m. and 1 p.m. with a break at 2 p.m.); Friday, Oct. 28 at 9 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. and 12 p.m. and 2 p.m. (financial assistance 10:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. with a stop at 2 p.m.); and Friday, Nov. 4 at 12 p.m. and 2 p.m.

Another session will be held at the Penquis Higher Education Center, 50 Mayo Street, at 1 and 2 p.m. on Thursday, October 27 with a drop-in at 2 p.m.

What we do: career counselling, college planning, advocacy, matching participants with funding sources, applying for financial aid, assisting with the completion of college applications, providing Qualified Adult Enrollment Fees, Completion of Scholarship Applications, and more… helping you make a plan for your new future!

The individualized session lasts approximately one hour. Pre-registration is encouraged. All services provided by MEOC are free of charge.
