DOVER-FOXCROFT – The Town of Dover-Foxcroft, with the approval of the Selection Committee and the support of the Climate Action Advisory Committee, applies to join the Maine Community Resilience Partnership, a State of Maine program aimed at assist communities in the transition to clean energy and to become more resilient to the effects of climate change.

The first step in the process is to conduct a community resilience self-assessment. At their December 27 meeting, with the help and expertise of Jaeme Duggan, Director of the Piscataquis County Emergency Management Agency, and City Manager Jack Clukey, the CAAC completed assessments of potential hazards. of the city and disruptive events, vulnerabilities and long-term adaptive capacity.

The second step to joining the Resilience Partnership is to organize a community workshop to review the results of the self-assessment and prioritize projects for the future. The public workshop is scheduled for Wednesday January 19 via Zoom from noon to 1 p.m. It is free and open to all.
