A man from Dover has been accused of raping a woman in Folkestone.
Police were called following a report of a rape at a property on rue Tontine around 3 p.m. last Friday.
A fake pistol was reportedly recovered by officers following a search of a nearby car.

Richard Scaife, of Camden Crescent, Dover, has been charged with two counts of rape and possession of a firearm while committing an offense.

He appeared in Folkestone Magistrates’ Court today (November 8) where he was remanded in custody.
The case will be heard at Canterbury Crown Court on Monday, December 6.
