NEW YORK (AP) – Last year Taylor Swift gave us a lot of new music. This year will be old – the pop star has announced that she is releasing the first of her re-recorded albums.

Swift said online Thursday that “Fearless: Taylor’s Version” is over and “will be with you soon,” with re-recorded songs from Swift’s second album, “Fearless.”

The new set will feature 26 songs – the original album had 13 – and will also contain six never-before-released songs, tunes that “almost made” the album. She said listeners will have the chance to hear the collection in its “whimsical, effervescent and chaotic entirety”.

Swift will also be releasing a new version of her song “Love Story” from “Fearless” Thursday at midnight, just in time for Valentine’s Day weekend.

Swift has vowed to re-record her first six albums after music director Scooter Braun announced that her company Ithaca Holdings had acquired Big Machine Label Group, the home of Swift’s first six albums. He then sold Swift’s catalog without the singer-songwriter having the chance to acquire his masters.

“Fearless” was written when Swift was between 16 and 18 and won her her first Grammy Award. The re-recorded version is likely to be adopted by its fans and push the original recordings further down in searches.

Swift has not announced when “Fearless: Taylor’s Version” will be available, but a statement that she posted on twitter included a hidden message using only capital letters that reads: April 9th.

Of the new drunken recording, Swift wrote, “I decided I wanted you to have the whole story, see the whole picture, and let yourself be taken in the whole dreamy landscape” which is here. ‘Fearless’ album.
