This week Gregg sat down exclusively with KentLive to talk about all things Masterchef, training and family life.
He also provided KentLive readers with some tips and recommendations on some of his favorite restaurants in the county.
Unsurprisingly, Gregg named The West House in Biddenden as well as the ever popular Rocksalt in Folkestone.
Gregg did, however, reserve a special mention for an Italian restaurant in Tunbridge Wells.
The star of the popular BBC One cooking show admitted he stumbled upon the restaurant but called his meal “superb”.
On one of his rare visits to Tunbridge Wells, Gregg enjoyed a meal at La Follia, a quintessential Italian restaurant in the heart of the city.
Managed by Sara and Antonio, La Follia brings the flavors of Monza Italy to West Kent with high quality cuisine paired with ‘Italian’ hospitality.
Recalling his visit to the restaurant, Gregg said: “There is a lovely little Italian that I only went to once when I was in Tunbridge Wells, he is tiny and can only accommodate about 40 people. “
âLa Folio in Tunbridge Wells, if you want real Italian food go for it, it’s superb!â
âI ran into it by accident but it’s fantastic,â he added.
Gregg has just finished filming the new Masterchef series but hasn’t revealed anything.
“I love Masterchef, I just finished the final of the Masterchef professionals!
“The food is fair⦠I feel incredibly privileged to be a part of it. I don’t know where you would go or how much you would have to spend to taste this kind of food.”
