A man was assaulted and robbed after trying to sell his electric scooter.

The victim met a man at Priory Station Approach Road in Dover between 7:30 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. on Friday, June 4.

Intending to discuss the sale of the electric scooter, the man then assaulted the victim and left with the article.

The victim, who is in his 40s, said he chased the man along Folkestone Road, Ethelbert Road, Tower Street and to South Street, but was unable to recover his property.

The suspect is white, over six feet tall, unshaven, and of tall build.

He was wearing square-rimmed glasses, a bright blue watch, black sweatpants, blue sneakers, and a white T-shirt.

The electric scooter is black with a headlight, flashing LED lights and four suspension springs.

A police spokesperson said: “Officers investigating the theft call in witnesses, anyone who recognizes the suspect’s description, or anyone with a dash cam or a CCTV can help, get in touch as soon as possible. “
