A man will appear in court after three people were hospitalized, including one with a stab wound.
Police were called to report unrest involving two groups of people which took place at around 8:10 p.m. on Wednesday, June 2 at Dover Road, near the junction with Harbor Way.
Three people were injured – one compatible with a stabbing – and were hospitalized.
Peter Young, 51, of Dover Road, Folkestone was charged today (Friday) with causing grievous bodily harm, breach of public order, possession of a kitchen knife in a public place and possession of a weapon (piece of wood).
He remains in custody and is due to appear before Folkestone Magistrates’ Court today.
Four other Folkestone men, aged 18, 19, 21 and 41, who were arrested in connection with the incident, have been released on bail as the investigation continues.
Investigators are still asking any witnesses or anyone with personal CCTV in the area to come forward.
They would also like to hear from anyone who was traveling in the area between 8:10 p.m. and 8:15 p.m. Wednesday and who has dashcam footage that could help with investigations.
