Patricia Joan LaRue, 86, from Paris, formerly from Dover, died Monday January 10, 2022, at the Mercy hospital in Paris. Daughter of Matt and Beady Wooten Wright, she was born January 20, 1935 in Russellville.

She was a cake decorator at the Dover Super Market and a member of the Pleasant Grove Assembly of God where she served as a church secretary and taught Sunday School.

Pat will be remembered as a loving mother and chick to her grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. She enjoyed writing the LaRue Ridge community news for the Dover Times, driving and spending time with her family.

She was predeceased by her husband, Don Evert LaRue; his parents; his daughter, Retha LaRue; one great-granddaughter, Rowan Noble; one sister, Allene Smith; one stepdaughter, Thula LaRue; and a son-in-law, Larry Rentfro.

Survivors include three daughters, Donella Willis (Danny) of Dover, Denise Duvall (Terry) of Moreland, Tina Smith (Mark) of Dover; one son, Rick LaRue (Rhonda) of Dover; a bonus daughter, Janice Meimerstorf (Tim) of Russellville; 15 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

The funeral service will be at 10 a.m. on Friday at Pleasant Grove Assembly of God. Reverend Clint Craig, Reverend Terry Duvall and Reverend Jackie Pledger will officiate.

Interment will be held at Pollard Cemetery in Dover, by Humphrey Funeral Service. Visitations will be held today from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
