Calcutta (West Bengal): BTL EPC Ltd., the engineering division of the Kolkata-based Shrachi Group, secured an order for 170 crore rupees (including GST) from BHEL for the installation of a 1×660 MW coal processing plant at Murshidabad for West Bengal Power Development company limited.

The order consists of the installation of a belt conveyor about 4.38 km long with a hydraulic drive device, a roller screen, an annular granulator with a capacity of 1500T / 1650T, a trolley mobile with a capacity of 2000 / 2200TPH, a hydraulic drive for the conveyor system as well as structural, utility, electrical & instrumentation works. BTL EPC Ltd. has already partnered with the Swedish company Rexroth for the hydraulic motor and L&T for the annular granulator and roller screen.

This BHEL order is yet another feather in the company’s hat. Other notable achievements of BTL EPC Ltd. include orders for upcoming fertilizer factories KRIBHCO, HURL Sindri, HURL Barauni, TSGENCO Yadadri, Bhadradi & Kotagudam power plants, NTPC North Karanpura and the international project in Bangladesh.
