British indie Label1 is expanding its management team with a series of appointments and promotions, including new C-suite titles for the founders of the company.

Label1 founders Lorraine Charker-Phillips and Simon Dickson will serve as joint CEOs, while Jo Taylor has been promoted to COO.

Additionally, Alex Burke (pictured) has been promoted to Chief Development Officer, and Label1 is also expanding the size of its development team to increase its production of documentaries and factual entertainment.

Burke will report directly to Charker-Phillips and Dickson, and oversee Label1’s development pipeline and growth in the unscripted space, focusing on both the land market and SVOD. She joined the company in 2019 from Studio Lambert, where she was part of the team that created BBC2s Race around the world. Since joining Label1, the company has expanded its factual list with ITV commissions Manchester bomber: fifth anniversary and channel 4 Class of 2021 (working title), as well as the recommission of its successful unscripted dating format, Channel 4′s Five guys a week.

“Alex is an exceptional talent who constantly impresses us with his high quality work and his ability to lead us into new creative spaces,” Charker-Phillips said in a press release.
