Locally-inspired hospitality programs in Tahiti, the French Riviera and Colorado were all on our list of the most exciting newcomers for November.

These impressive properties from Hilton Worldwide, IHG and Marriott International immerse guests in their surroundings using carefully thought-out design concepts.

Hilton Tahiti hotel

Offering a new retreat for visitors to the capital of French Polynesia, the 200-key Hilton Tahiti hotel is ideally located for access to the attractions of downtown Papeete and the seaport, and just three kilometers from the airport international. Taking over the old Tahiti hotel, inaugurated in 1960 on land belonging to the domain of the Tahitian royal family, this complex honors the rich heritage of the island.

Guests can expect to find updated interiors, including an open-air lobby with ocean views, designed to make the most of the surrounding beauty. On-site amenities span three restaurants; the largest swimming pool in Tahiti, which is joined by six private cabanas; a boutique-style spa; a fitness center; and the largest ballroom and meeting space in French Polynesia.

Indigo Cagnes-sur-Mer Hotel, France

The Hôtel Indigo brand of IHG landed on the Côte d’Azur with the opening of the Hôtel Indigo Cagnes-sur-Mer. Inspired by the beautiful coastline and the eponymous town, this 87 key property features a blue and white theme; interiors contrast light turquoise hues with darker blue undertones, upholstery with a nautical feel, decorative rugs with wave patterns, and light fixtures that mimic waves.

Highlights include a rooftop pool with views of Grimaldi Castle and the Italian restaurant Cucina Victoria, specializing in local seafood. Referencing the city’s history as a popular destination for artists such as Renoir, the hotel is full of a carefully curated selection of artwork. The architectural and interior design of this charming property was led by Willmotte & Associates.

The Hythe, a luxury resort, Vail, Colorado

The Luxury Collection, part of Marriott International, celebrates the debut of The Hythe, a luxury resort, in Vail, following the US $ 40 million transformation of an existing property in the Rocky Mountains. This property, owned by DiamondRock Hospitality Company, now boasts a completely redesigned lobby experience, redesigned outdoor spaces and four new culinary concepts.

The resort has 344 keys, including 22 suites and 16 residences, with lots of wood, stone, leather and faux fur. Wilson Ishihara Design oversaw the interiors, taking inspiration from Vail’s origins and the natural beauty of the surrounding area.

Guests can dine at the Margie’s Haas farm-to-table concept, relax in the 10th Mountain Lobby Bar, enjoy the on-the-go selection at Mountain Ration, and sip cocktails at the Revel Lounge Bar. Meanwhile, a range of treatments are offered at the Well & Being Spa and events are held across 29,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor space.
