A ride aboard a Santa Special will be a real party treat – and that’s just for the adults.
But you’ll have to act quickly to secure a spot for your family on one of the county’s heritage railways, as tickets sell like hot pies. We have put together what is on offer in Kent.
Polar Express at Spa Valley Railway, Tunbridge Wells
If you believe it, get ready for a truly amazing winter experience as the Polar Express ™ train arrives in Tunbridge Wells.
The 2004 hit movie will be recreated with ringing bells, the sound of a familiar whistle, and the ability to climb aboard while wearing your comfy pajamas en route to the North Pole.
There will be food, hot chocolate, and stories on board – and the chance to see Santa Claus through the window as you travel, with his magical sleigh, before he also gets on board. Tickets are almost sold out, with only a handful left on some days. To book click here,
Romney, Hythe and Dymchurch Railway
This year the Heritage Railway is celebrating 40 years of Santa Specials.
A lot may have changed since 1981, but the experience remains the same – the steam trains and Santa Claus.

Special offers run on the weekend of Saturday November 27 and Tuesday December 21 to Christmas Eve. Book by clicking here.
