POPULAR TV Show Sex education has recently returned to our screens, and many people will have spotted a familiar spot or two in the background.

The hit show, which airs on Netflix, has been filmed across South Wales and surrounding areas.

The border areas around the Wye Valley have been the show’s primary filming location throughout its first three seasons, but they’re not the only ones.

Penarth, Vale of Glamorgan and Gwent also got in on the action, with one of the main locations a short distance from Newport itself.

The scenes set at Moordale High School were filmed on the former University of South Wales campus in Caerleon – a sight familiar to many.

But, while some of the most recognizable and widely publicized places are well known in the region, a few sites have gone a bit under the radar.

It can also be for various reasons.

Maybe the site was only used for a few scenes.
