Work has started on a new Taco Bell restaurant due to open in Kent.
Signs have now appeared on an empty unit at St James’s Business Park in Dover, where the Mexican fast food chain will open.
The new restaurant will be next to the Cineworld cinema and Sussex Beds and will join Nando’s, Kaspas, Greggs and Burger King at the mall.
The opening date for the new restaurant is not yet known, but Taco Bell has been approached for comment.
Bosses at St James’ – which is also home to Next, M&S Foodhall and Iceland – have revealed the US chain will open earlier this year.
A post on their Facebook page in April read, “A new store is coming soon.
“The famous Mexican-inspired Taco Bell is coming to St James!
“Their daring and gourmet dishes are waiting to satisfy your taste buds.”
This is one of three new restaurants planned for St James’ in Dover – the German Doner Kebab and Jamaican restaurant Jerk ‘n’ Tingz are also opening in the centre.
Taco Bell arrived in the UK in 2010 and currently operates over 80 restaurants.
Kent saw its first Taco Bell arrive at Chatham Dockyard in Medway in 2019, and a second opened in Maidstone earlier this year.
The company also revealed plans to open more stores in Canterbury – one drive-thru in Sturry Road and a second in the High Street.
It serves a selection of dishes, from burritos to quesadillas to chocolate-dipped churros.
