DOVER – A new non-profit Thanks 4 Giving Charity has been formed and will run the 13th Annual Thanksgiving Celebration Event on Wednesday, November 24.

Co-Chairs Michael Steinberg of Relyco and Jeff Roemer of Blue Latitudes and Roost made the announcement this week on behalf of the association’s board of directors.

The annual Thanksgiving celebration provides a Thanksgiving meal for local individuals and families facing food insecurity and other challenges. Due to last year’s pandemic, dozens of volunteers safely packed and delivered over 600 hot meals to the Strafford County Homeless Shelter, Teen Center, My Friend’s Place and Dover Housing Authority, to name a few.

In addition to Steinberg and Roemer, board members include Amy Steinberg, Betsey Andrews Parker, Bill Breault, Carol Boc, David Richard, Jack Roemer, Kate Elwell, Mark Kane, Mark Leno, Mary Jo Gauthier, Sheila Kageleiry, Shelley MacGregor and Tiffany Melanson.

“Our board of directors is made up of a group of local people who firmly believe that success is achieved by working together,” Steinberg and Roemer said in a press release. “We hope our new organization will have a positive impact this holiday season and for years to come. “
