DOVER, Del. – Three people face charges after being linked to a narcotics investigation on Thursday.
Dover Police say Orlando Batson was selling heroin while on Level 4 probation Investigators were able to obtain a search warrant for Batson’s home in the North Edgehill Avenue unit block . Officers contacted Batson during a traffic stop before executing the search warrant.
Lateesha Barber, 28, was a passenger in the vehicle. Batson and Barber were arrested. According to police, Barber had 67 doses of MDMA, 11.8 grams of MDMA powder and 9 grams of marijuana in his possession.
As officers continued to monitor Batson’s home, they contacted Ryshon Goode, 31, in a vehicle outside. Goode was found in possession of 25 doses of MDMA and was also arrested.
Officers then executed the search warrant and found 203 shots of heroin belonging to Batson. They also found a 9mm handgun belonging to Goode.
Batson was taken to Sussex Correctional Institution (SCI) on $12,100 cash bond. He is charged with possession with intent to deliver heroin, possession of heroin, drug paraphernalia, delivery of heroin and violation of probation.
Barber was taken to Baylor Women’s Correctional on $8,100 guaranteed bond. She is charged with possession of marijuana, two counts of possession of MDMA, possession with intent to deliver MDMA, and drug paraphernalia.
Goode was taken to SCI on $24,300 cash bond. He is charged with possession with intent to deliver MDMA and possession of MDMA. Goode is also charged with two counts of possession of a firearm by a prohibited person, possession of a firearm with a defaced serial number and drug paraphernalia.
