Novi, Mich.-based Vibe Credit Union announced Friday that industry veteran Chaz Rzewnicki has been named the new president/CEO of the $1.1 billion credit union.
Rzewnicki will replace Allan McMorris, who announced in December 2021 his intention to retire this summer after more than 30 years at the helm of the credit union.
Since 2016, Rzewnicki has served as chairman and CEO of the $626 million Dover Federal Credit Union, headquartered in Dover, Del.
Vibe Chairman of the Board, Mike Ivanics, said, “After extensive research, we believe we have found the right person to lead Vibe through the next phase of our growth and service to our community. His passion for providing solid financial services to our members as well as a great working environment for staff make him the right choice.
The research was conducted by D. Hilton Associates, Inc.
According to Friday’s statement, Rzewnicki has been in the credit union industry for nearly 25 years when he started as a 16-year-old co-op student. While in Dover, “He led the strategic direction, growth, expansion and technology transformation of the organization to drive strategic implementations, including diversity excellence initiatives, ‘equity and inclusion,’ the statement read.
Rzewnicki said: “Vibe CU is an incredible organization with an incredible board and team. I am both honored and extremely happy to have been chosen to join such a strong credit union. I look forward to partnering with the board and team to take Vibe to new heights! »
