Immerse yourself in Sex education and take a trip to some of its locations in East Kent.
With the third season appearing on Netflix in late September, social media is teeming with fans portraying the series’ scenic landscapes.
The Instagram scroll revealed that fans in the Southeast are within walking distance of many of the gorgeous places.
The money.co.uk team uncovered the show’s most (and least) hidden filming locations by examining the number of visits using hashtags.
They took to Instagram to research which filming locations were the most and least marked to uncover the most (and least) hidden filming locations in the series.
Although the majority of filming takes place in Wales, the most popular filming destination on the social media site was Folkestone with 329,886 hashtags. More specific posters tagged the port arm 9,414 times.
The second and third most popular were the Forest of Dean in Gloucestershire – where Harry potter and Star wars were also filmed – with just over a quarter of a million tags, and the Welsh border town of Monmouth with 172,177 Instagram posts.
However, the search also revealed the most hidden filming locations in the series and the locations in East Kent that were also on this list.
Shorncliffe Military Cemetery in Hythe has been tagged 16 times, while just seven eagle-eyed viewers tagged Hawthorne Trenches in Elham.
Folkestone is no stranger to being used for filming with an increasing number of shows using it as a backdrop, including Back to life and several seasons of The tunnel, as well as the popular series The cherished buds of May, back in 1991.
